08/19/08 : Heading west, I found a castle of all things, out around Abilene.
08/19/08 : I drove around for a while, trying to find a better view.
But, this was about as good as it got.
08/20/08 : This is the place I stayed the first night.

08/20/08 : This was after I got off of I-10 in Arizona, heading up towards Safford.
08/20/08 : I believe this was as I was leaving Safford,
heading towards the Tonota National Monument area.
08/20/08 : Theodore Roosevelt Bridge in the Tonto National Monument area.
It spans the Salt River. It was a nice, pretty area.
08/21/08 : This was after the 1000+ mile day, no rooms in Arizona (where I was looking),
and finally making it to Colorodo. This was between Cortez and Montrose.

After the 1000+ miles, the day before, I didn't go very far, this day...
It was cool and pretty, though! :)

I found the waterfall, off in the distance (inside the red circle).
08/22/08 : So, I got out the tripod, the 'good' lens, and took some pictures.
The wind kept blowing the tripod and lens. But, this one turned out alright.
08/22/08 : At the summit of Independence Pass (well, the paved part of it).
