Road Trip '05 : The Tetons, Yellowstone, and beyond...
These pictures are from my Grand Tetons / Yellowstone trip.
The original plan had been to spend about 5 days in and around
Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone. As it turned out,
the weather wasn't cooperating very well, so I went elsewhere.
See below for the details...

Day
1 : From a North Texas Lunch to a Nebraska Sunset
I left Dallas at lunch time. I was in Kansas by 5pm.
I was in Nebraska by sunset.

Day
2 : Nebraska and South Dakota (Badlands National Park)
It had been storming and flooding in Grand Island,
NE. I was glad that was not my final destination! I
trekked on from there and spent the night in Badlands
National Park, SD.

Day
3 : South Dakota and Wyoming (Devils Tower)
After spending several hours in Badlands NP, I headed
over to Devils Tower and on towards my goal... The Grand
Tetons and Yellowstone!

Day
4 : Wyoming and Grand Tetons National Park
I finally made it to the Tetons! Niiiiice! Now, if
only this weather would clear up...!

Day
5 : Grand Tetons NP and Yellowstone NP
I spent the day driving around the two parks. I wish
the weather had cleared up, but it was still well worth
the trip!

Day
6 : Yellowstone National Park
This day was spent mostly in Yellowstone, as I figured
out where to go next, since the weather wasn't supposed
to clear for the next several days.

7 : Montana, Idaho, and Utah
Out of the rain! Big Sky Country! The Land of Potatoes!
Mormon Country!

Day 8 : Bryce Canyon National Park
Really beautiful. The heat was a bit much, but at least
the skies were clear!

Day 9 : Arches National Park
Very nice. I'd like to go back to Arches NP, at some
point, so I can spend more time and take some of the
hikes (when it's not so blasted hot!).

Day 10 : Durango / Bayfield, Colorado
Area
I stopped off in Durango / Bayfield to visit with some
friends, before I came back to Texas.

Day 11 : Headin' home...!
